I am getting an error code when trying to transfer or view pictures or videos from a CD. I believe the reason for it is the the File and folder names are longer than 128 characters. The question is how do I get access to them. I erased the originals and they are travel photos and videos. They are irreplacable. I am using Windows XP. I am not able to view pics nor am I able to copy them. I burned folders within folders and this is where I believe I caused the error by creating names too long. Anyone have any answers. I have searched everywhere for this and all I am told is that I am S.O.L. Please Help!?!

This error usually occurs during installation initialization. This error can occur for several reasons. Some specific reasons might be if an installation is being run from a network or the path from which setup.exe is launched is too long. There might be more reasons that are computer specific. You could try this tool http://longpathtool.com/ i think your problem will be solved with this software.
